The Technology Relationship Manager is a global role based in London supporting our offices in North America and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).  


The ideal candidate will be responsible for:


Client Strategic Alignment (60%)


Understanding and ensuring alignment (where possible) of the company’s tech strategy with key franchise clients’ tech strategies

Serving as the core anchor working with other business groups to gather and document the critical deliverables supporting the client strategies

Scheduling regular meetings based on client preference to provide transparency with respects to updates to the technology strategy, progress against goals and to discuss issues requiring attention

Assisting partners in looking across the broader technology landscape to identify and evaluate potential solutions to meet client needs


Client/Partner Servicing & Consulting (30%)


Serving as the Technology liaison to the client servicing and sales organizations by providing a local bias to the corporate standard Request for Proposals (RFP) responses and presentation materials.

Providing clients in the region with a single application/technology point person to serve as a primary point of contact and/or escalation. 

Partnering with IT Service Delivery team(s) in the region to provide support and back up as needed.  

Assisting the Chicago technology staff with the ongoing maintenance of the central technology RFP and presentation repositories.

Providing context to the Applications group on the desired business outcomes enabling them to make better informed decisions on solution architecture, resource allocation and project execution.  



Regulatory/Compliance (10%)


Participating in various regulatory bodies that Northern Trust is subject to in the region

Assisting business partners in the region in identifying opportunities to mitigate business and IT risk through automation.      


The successful candidate will benefit from having: 

Previous experience in the technology and/or financial services industry
Bachelor’s degree, CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) certification or any other relevant certifications or work related experience 
Demonstrated experience serving as a Technology liaison to client servicing and sales organizations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work on cross functional teams
Please note that the base location for this role is London and a competitive salary is being offered
