ROLE

The position is responsible for the business functions and management of the Client Data Indexing team within BLO Department (Banking and Loan Operations). This would include timely delivery of quality and services for all the business lines, in addition to conducting the performance management process and providing input for staff. The Team Leader will report to a Section Manager, and will be accountable for the day-to-day management responsibility of the Team.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day to day supervision of the team, including,

• Delivery of monthly Key Performance Indicator information
• Supervise team, working on Banking and Loan products and ensure the daily/weekly/monthly deliverables are met
• Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
• Certifies the accuracy of the sign-off or tasks that get performed on a daily basis
• Reviews various documents with utmost accuracy and with a control perspective in mind
• Periodically reviews the procedure documents / checklists
• Frequently comes up with process enhancements / control measures and suggestions of improving the existing process flows
• Possesses very good leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback regularly to staff
• To manage a team of Analysts, Sr. Analysts & Technical Coordinators and ensures that any people or operational issues are handled as per the guidelines provided both at an organizational level and specific process level
• If the situation so demands then timely escalation of the matter to the next level of management
• Adherence to procedures and SLAs
• Identifies and manages resolution of service delivery root causes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all related departments and Middle Offices
• Pro-actively communicate the procedure updates to the team. Ensures that all DPADs/client profiles are kept up to date at all times
• Perform a role of subject matter expert and directs activities to staff.
• Develops and maintains specific subject expertise and advises businesses management, and relevant third parties.
• Responsible for interacting with various business areas to determine automation needs and provide ongoing systems support. 

 

Experience

Overall industry experience of 6+ years (inclusive of 2 years in the current role).

Qualifications/Experience/ Skills:
• Should be flexible for shifts to work in 6.30 AM IST shift
• Builds strong relationships with partners on site/ across business lines/ juniors and seniors
• Strong focus on problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow through. Escalates issues as appropriate.
• A client focused approach 
• Able to execute dialogue with middle office for any communication.
• Strong understanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance factors.
• Should have in depth knowledge of troubleshooting techniques to resolve exceptions and queries resulting out of processing.
