Team Leader

Summary

The successful candidate will be part of Cash Analysis and Treasury Operations within the Cash & FX Practice. Candidate will support Section Manager, in ensuring the operational efficiency of the group with the focus on measuring the performance of the team, providing technical support and dealing with ongoing operational problems.  On a day to day basis he / she will support Section Manager with forward planning for the department.
Candidate should have the ability to quickly grasp concepts and process knowledge. Candidate should be able to mentor and guide new hires in the team. Partner should be able to multitask and also handle administrative activities along with building a diverse team through recruiting, hiring and succession planning. Partner should be an NT Savvy and should be aware of NT performance competencies and also practice each one of the competencies.

Major Duties

Some Key Responsibilities and Expectations
1. Ensure that all processing / Workflows are completed within the SLA for the task.
2. Ensures that staff are conforming to procedures
3. Proactively ensure all the documents (DPAD, SLD...) are in place and review them periodically.
4. Delegates work on a daily/monthly basis, assesses individual workloads and re-allocates workload when necessary
5. Should have basic knowledge of Cash Management and understanding of its impact to different processes
6. Generate and support new ideas and initiatives, make sound decision, seek input from others, gather logical thinking and find solution. All exceptions and escalations either received through the workflow, mails or phone calls have to be immediately addressed or worked upon and also track them for future process improvements.
7. Ensure BCP plans are in place and reviewed. Identify possible roadblocks and ensure plans are built.
8. Manage audit, migrations, and contribute to overall success of the team by completing tasks assigned. This will include (but not limited to) workflow processing, special projects, etc.
9. Increase your productivity standards each year, we must raise the bar and take advantage of the experience of our staff and the enhancements to systems.
10. Should provide inputs to process and operational changes that would make the group more efficient. 

Control/Compliance
• Ensures procedures are adhered to
• Frequently review the controls and implement wherever required after discussing with Manager Section.
• Informs section manager when procedures are breached resulting in the delivery of bad information

Experience & Qualifications

• Basic capital market knowledge
• Basic Understanding of Treasury functions, like Claims and  Cash Management
• Ability to coach and motivate team members, offering feedback as appropriate
• Ability to communicate well with staff at all levels
• Solid analytical/research skills
• Demonstrated innovative approach to problem solving
• Good MS office skills; especially MS Excel
• Flexible approach towards changing work methods and variable workloads
• Ability to develop effective and positive relationships within the team and internal partners, promoting co-operation rather than conflict
• Ability to meet short and medium term objectives of the team, prioritize team resources and allocate workloads
• Ability to show pro-activeness & creative thinking to come up with solutions
• Candidates should be flexible to work in different shifts (including US shifts) based on business requirements.

Qualifications
 
Minimum 6 years of experience including 2 years in the current role as TC, Cash Management or Treasury experience is preferable.
Movement between TL and Consultant level will be 12 months
