The key responsibilities of the role include:

Responsible for day-to-day management of a small team within Banking Operations. The Banking Operations team oversees transactions processing, document processing, opening new business and maintaining and reviewing documentation on existing account. Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions.

Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions.

Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.

May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work. 

Possesses the leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.

Provides training, conducts performance management and career development processes, handles staffing and disciplinary actions.

Provides input and support to budget management process.

Manages own work load/projects.

Ensures sufficient cover of all tasks is maintained in the team, including identifying and training partners as necessary.

Maintains policies and procedures for Debit Card Operations. Supports bank operational and general ledger activities to ensure timely processing and compliance with bank procedures and regulations.

Manages Debit Card processing and disputes, Encore Teller Processing, research and maintenance.

Oversees exception item processing including Return Deposit Items, Foreign Check Collections, and NSF processing. Assists internal partners the resolution of processing or posting errors.

The successful candidate will benefit from having: 


College or University degree and proven Banking Operations work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. In-depth Banking Knowledge is required.

Analytical and problem solving skills are required. Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills are required in-depth Banking knowledge is required. Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
