SKILLS
 
• Experience in a transitions role or similar with proven track record of working with static data and operational teams
• Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Thorough understanding of Operations functions and responsibilities
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organisation skills are absolutely essential
• Ability to prioritise multiple work streams and meet tight deadlines
• Proven understanding of asset management terminology and familiarity with investments instruments is essential
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
• Proven ability to quickly understand new systems. Both in-house and market data providers
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work well under pressure
• Self-motivated, able to think ahead and schedule tasks in good order
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners
• Excellent prioritisation based on a Front Office risk approach
• Determination to identify and follow issues through to resolution
• Flexible attitude and ability to change priorities quickly
• Ability to influence other departments to deliver in a timely manner, with the tenacity to follow up on outstanding actions and drive results
• Adaptability to changing environments
• Demonstration of innovative and creative thinking, problem solving and using own initiative
• Proven team working skills
• An investment curiosity with a willingness to learn
• Excellent PC literacy required with strong knowledge of MS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 


EXPERIENCE

• Extensive experience working within an Asset Manager, or similar institution
• Experience and a good understanding of working on passive Index mandates would be beneficial
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment, transitions experience beneficial
• In-depth industry knowledge with extensive experience of operational, middle office and front office support functions
• Experience of working with Transitions Managers
• Experience working in onboarding new accounts across all asset classes
• Strong PC literacy required with MS-Office, knowledge of Eagle, Charles River, Factset and Bloomberg systems an advantage
• Experience in working to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment
• Proven ability of managing multiple account onboardings with conflicting deadlines
• Knowledge of pooled funds and segregated managed accounts
