The key responsibilities of the role include: 
  • Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for reviewing and analyzing investment data to formulate investment recommendations for investment managers and clients
  • Prepare client presentation and performance review materials
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing investment data to formulate investment recommendations for investment managers and clients 
  • Provides investment management support to a function by processing new account applications
  • Resolves inquiries and handles account transfers 
  • Researches and identifies securities to purchase and evaluates the current portfolio holdings
  • Communicates with clients providing trade settlement data, coordinating the delivery/payment of securities, and other routine requests
  • May purchase and sell securities within scope of authority
  • Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
  • More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
  • Delivers a work product that requires less revision
  • Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions

The successful candidate will benefit from having: 
  • A College or University degree is required; some relevant securities industry work experience is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Security/investment industry knowledge is required
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Detail orientation
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
