Role & Responsibilities

You are a mid-level technical ETL Developer as a resource to participate as a member of a hybrid agile development team building, integrating, and maintaining for various banking systems. The ETL Developer will also work as part of a product development team and be involved in the design, build, unit testing, and deployment of ETL jobs and sequences built using IBM Data Stage. The developer should expect to pull multiple formats of source data, including XML, web services, delimited flat files, Oracle Tables, SQL Server Tables and DB2 Tables.  Furthermore:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in developing ETL solutions (IBM Data stage)
  • Experience developing solutions for Enterprise Applications. Data Warehouses is a plus.
  • Data stage 11.7 Upgrade Experience
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience optimizing and debugging Oracle SQL/PLSQL a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and evaluate risk in a production on-call setting.

 

Experience & Skills

Translating functional ETL requirements into a technical design document, building the Data Stage jobs and sequences to pull data from the source into staging tables, from staging tables into historical tables using Change Data Capture methodologies, and then from historical tables into dimensional data marts for reporting

 

  • 6+ years of industry experience, with minimum 3 years in ETL DataStage development.
  • Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software.
  • Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
  • Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Resolve problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Ensure all changes are properly documented, planned, tested, and approved prior to being moved into production
  • Able to code, debug and test IBM Data stage jobs including complex SQL statements.
  • Ensure work meets functionality and quality expectations within given timelines.
  • Possess Financial Domain experience.
