Senior Analyst, Corporate Actions

Job description:

Execute voluntary corporate action (CA) offers prior to deadline date and time. Events to be processed include: tender offer, voluntary exchange, rights/subscription offer, consent, bankruptcy ballot, dividend with options, ADR reclaim. Understand the terms of the action, research the event, know how to execute the offer, and be able to effectively escalate any issues to the team leader or manager. Review voluntary events promptly upon assignment, and be the subject matter expert (SME) for all events/work items assigned. Know the deadline date and time of the event, and be able to identify any discrepancies between Northern systems versus the options on DTC or forms to be completed.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately post voluntary actions to clients' accounts within 24 hours of receipt of payment.
  • Close cash and stock exceptions within 5 days of posting. If unable to immediately close exceptions, be able to demonstrate and document progress and status of the item.
  • Provide partners and clients with timely and accurate response to inquiries.
  • Promote and maintain open and effective communications with partner areas, including other CA teams, securities lending, client- facing teams, trade settlements, etc. to ensure critical tasks requiring collaboration with other teams get completed by required deadlines.
  • Be able to document and maintain department procedures, participate in training initiatives, and assist with projects.

Skills Required:

  • Required securities processing experience, corporate actions processing experience is preferred
  • Familiarity and comfort with meeting time-sensitive deadlines and processing transactions up to and exceeding 1bil USD value
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Functional / Financial Industry Knowledge is required
  • Analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Be able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical
  • Knowledge of stock and cash reconciliations
