Responsible for the execution of marketing and communication strategies to drive revenue, identify opportunities for client acquisition and retention and promote firm-wide initiatives.  This position will manage local market promotional campaigns and sponsor exceptional event experiences, leveraging regional and national marketing tools.   The Marketing Specialist will further define a message strategy which reinforces the firm’s positioning and ensures brand consistency.  

Key responsibilities of the role include:

1. Execute engaging events and client experiences that elevate our brand presence and drive alignment with the firm’s growth objectives.  Source creative ideas and manage an event calendar which leverages the firm’s wealth management capabilities and thought leaders.  Demonstrate strong event project management proficiency including budget and expense management, venue and catering selection, and event flow oversight.   Drive engagement through ongoing invitee outreach.
2. Coordinate external branding initiatives to amplify the firm’s capabilities and talent including media engagement, LinkedIn feeds, partner biographies and website landing pages, and external speaking engagements.
3. Proactively engage the sales team to design marketing initiatives which support lead generation, pipeline activity and conversion objectives.
4. Manage sponsorships and strategic philanthropy relationships to creatively differentiate the firm’s brand.  Lead collaborative planning to responsibly maximize the firm’s stewardship of community partnerships.  Monitor the impact of these relationships and gauge the effectiveness of the firm’s investment.
5. Develop and execute digital engagement programs using a marketing automation platform.  Craft tailored content and messages unique to client segments.  Leverage techniques to bolster campaign design, foster prospect and client engagement, and optimize response rates through lead nurturing and targeted e-mails.
6. Champion communication strategies which support marketing initiatives, strengthen company culture, and build awareness within the local market.   
7. Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to generate insights and assess the effectiveness and impact of marketing strategies.
8. Research and analyze trends in the wealth management industry and HNW marketplace to determine the appropriate positioning of communications activities that will competitively distinguish the firm.
9. Oversee the marketing budget and provide ongoing guidance around the feasibility of new initiatives.  Track and analyze the financial impact (ROI) of marketing program implementation.
10. Act as point of contact with Regional and National marketing to adopt successful concepts, share best practices and monitor the effectiveness of local initiatives.  Work cooperatively with other markets to accomplish growth objectives.


The successful candidate will benefit from having:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/advertising and/or degree in English/writing/communications preferred.
  • 3 years financial services or wealth management experience in marketing or sales
  • Demonstrated success and experience developing market strategies through lead cultivation, developing strategic relationships, and creating unique experiences 
  • Knowledge of financial industry consumer products and services and marketing concepts, acquired through related work experience 
  • Creativity and strong writing skills are necessary to develop marketing materials, external branding messages and partner communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are needed to interface with partners throughout the organization. 
  • Proficiency of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel to create materials required. Experience with marketing automation platform a plus.  Video editing and graphic design experience are a plus including Adobe competencies (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign) 
  • Solid project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills needed to manage a variety of ongoing projects.
