The key responsibilities of the role include:


Conduct periodic proactive reviews of internal processes, procedures, and client specific servicing deliverables to ensure proper/effective controls and compliance with corporate standards.

Evaluate business processes, controls, and operating practices through regular control testing. 

Applies analytical skills to review processes and ensure proper preventative and detective controls are in place for business functions and prepares.

Recommendations to strengthen control weaknesses. Communicate Control’s opinion and Control’s recommendations (verbally and in writing).

Manages projects to implement control and efficiency enhancements, including project status tracking, obtaining consensus amongst working group, ensuring successful roll out of enhancements, and driving project to timely completion.

Ensure that current policies and procedures are in place for business unit functions and are in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Assists in the communication and implementation of corporate policies within the business unit.

Escalate risk and control related matters to the Control Manager.

Partner with various risk management and control groups throughout the organization as directed.

Evaluates incidents and operational losses within Investment Operations Outsourcing and performs thorough analysis to identify trends and root cause.  Prepares recommendations for process and control enhancements.

Prepares monthly metric reporting.

Assist the Control Manager as department facilitator for all audits and regulatory examinations. Track and monitor all audit report and regulatory examination findings to ensure all open issues are resolved and closed in a timely manner.

Coordinates of the Business Continuity Plan for the department, including all plan documentation, testing schedules, and compliance with internal standards and requirements.

Assist with operational and/or corporate risk initiatives where directed.

The successful candidate will benefit from having: 


College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. - More technically sound in area of expertise with broader knowledge of other areas. - Excellent oral and written communication skills are required- In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required.  Must have advanced excel knowledge.

Highly flexible and adaptable to change- Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact. - Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.

Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. 

Candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and adaptable to change.  Able to quickly dive in and learn a new process, identify the key issues, and develop recommendations for solutions.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
