The Private Passport team is looking for a senior solutions architect to join the team to work on client facing web application development projects. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about their job and has the technical expertise to succeed.  Specifically, the candidate would Architect solutions and work through designs related to application development projects. Responsible for meeting with business partners to discuss requirements for new product features or enhancements. Responsible for aligning application with architectures defined within the division and across the enterprise. Drive new architectures, best practice to meet the growing needs of the application. Conducts System Analysis and design, program specifications based off requirements. Leads developers in the creation/review of new or enhanced software. Responsible for raising technical risks associated with new features & technologies. Communicates with systems and partners at all levels about new processes and recommendations. This is a perfect role for an experienced solutions architects looking for new challenges.

        Involved in the full software development lifecycle.

        Working with other Senior Developers and application architects to alter and enhance the current product.

        Design, code, implement, and test new features and modules

        Partner and work directly with business partners on requirements for product enhancements.

        Conduct system analysis and design based on requirements.

        Create high level solution architecture and review of detailed technical design documents

        Comfortable with estimation, scheduling, milestone tracking, verification, risk management, and project status reporting as it relates to product development.

        Work collaboratively with the testing team to analyze and help fix any defects.

        Participate in application troubleshooting (Technical and Functional) and assist Production Support teams wherever applicable

        Continuously look for ways to improve the applications stability, scalability, maintainability and user experience.

        Ensure proper coding standards/practices are followed.

        Acts as the technical consultant on project development/production health, new techniques and the implementation of new processes.

        Conducts feasibility studies and designs system requirements for complex data processing projects or new technologies.

        Serves as an expert in their area and works with other team members as a key resource and actively participates within an exceptionally talented team of experienced Developers.

        Docker – Images, Containers, Docker-Compose, Docker-Machine

        Agile Methodology and Scrum process for Software development.

        Familiarity with SOAP, RESTful interfaces and APIs 

        Maven, Gradle, Npm, ANT, SVN, GIT

        Spring Boot & Spring Batch

        HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, React.js

        Node.js/JavaScript

        Oracle PL/SQL

Data design patterns

 

        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

        Extensive knowledge of the Java Platform and Enterprise APIs with proven Java Programming experience.

        Demonstrate initiative and self-learning attitude, ability to work with team as well as independently on projects.

        Performance tuning experience is an advantage.

        Desire to advance your knowledge of software development with the Java programming language and its ecosystem of open-source libraries and frameworks.

        Strong Knowledge and experience in designing high-performance, reliable and scalable database applications.

        Experience building web-based applications.

        Researching new technologies that will add value to business and Customers. Thorough understanding of the Agile development methodologies

        Presentation and communication skills with a high degree of comfort with technical and business audiences

        Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

        Experience working with stakeholders to identify relevant requirements and understand how those requirements fit into the broader enterprise context for the application / platform

Knowledge of Scrum/Agile development methodology; expert hands-on experience with UML sequence/class/communication diagrams, robustness diagrams, and other agile development
