The IOO Implementations Team is a global organization whose primary responsibility is the on boarding of new clients onto GFS’s investment operations outsourcing platform. The team operates in Chicago, London, and Australia and supports a variety of projects in all regions.
The Business Analyst is responsible for working on large scale client on-boarding projects with activities across various departments. The Business Analysis function plays a key role throughout the lifecycle of the project from documenting the current state, defining the scope of work, creating the requirements, supporting the builds and testing, through migration and handover to the business.  A successful Business Analyst will support various projects throughout the organization.    

Major Duties
  • Support the definition and agreement of project scope with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development of the overall project and workstream plans from initiation through migration
  • Provide timely and accurate status updates to project manager for all assigned tasks
  • Analyze and document client’s current state operating model
  • Analyze and document gaps between client’s current state and NT’s standard service model
  • Prepare high-level and detailed business requirement documents to support process and technology development
  • Ensure gaps and requirements are communicated and well understood by operations and technology partners
  • Support the smooth transition from project to business as usual
Knowledge/Skills
  • Extensive experience analyzing and documenting current state process and technology models
  • Extensive experience conducting and documenting process and functional gap analysis
  • Knowledge of financial markets and instruments
  • Proven track record of success working in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines, multiple priorities and limited resources
  • Proven ability to analyze and document business requirements to support the development of process and technology solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish credibility and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Extensive experience working with various project management and/or software development methodologies
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, Visio and Sharepoint
Qualifications / Experience
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience required
  • 7+ years of related business experience, experience in change initiatives, with a track record of accomplishment in large, complex projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • In-depth functional/industry knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
