ROLE
Work within the International Tax Services Group (ITS) serving the Operations function for a diverse range of clients who have selected NT to provide their Tax Service. The role is to ensure that required tax documents are requested from NT client’s and lodged in the markets to ensure that our clients obtain the best tax rates in the markets. Liaise with other teams within the Tax department as well as client servicing teams. This will involve responding quickly and professionally to queries in an accurate and timely manner. Continually aim to improve the service offered to NT clients. Assist in reviewing work of others, training and ensuring deadlines are met as required. To have oversight of the markets within the team and assist team members in resolving market issues. This will involve escalation of issues to Team Lead/Manager and assisting in obtaining and implementing the agreed process improvements.

To take on appropriate tasks from the Team Leader or Team Manager and escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Review work of others to ensure accuracy. 
Review of breakdown submissions.
Review of Relief at Source processing and reconciliation to agent records.
Processing and reviewing reclaim submissions. 
Assist Team Leader in monitoring of metrics and reporting standards.
Monitoring and escalating of market issues as required.
Take control of the team when the TL is absent.
Review and update team procedures.
To actively participate in Audits/Business Continuity exercises and to assist the Team Leader to ensure awareness in the team. 
Action complex queries and refer complicated issues to Team Leader/Manager.
Ensure all queries are responded to within the assigned deadlines
Be aware of all service level agreements in place. 
Analyse processes to identify areas for automation or improved workflow.
Continuously support the team to meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of all clients
Work closely with the relevant contacts within the scope of the process, to provide the best possible service.
Demonstrate a strong willingness to assist others when required, building effective relationships with members of the team and other teams.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL: 
•Several years of related tax experience, preferably withholding tax or tax documentation.
•Demonstrated client servicing capabilities and excellent communication skills.
•Must be resilient to pressure and have the ability to adapt quickly.
•Accuracy and attention to detail and effective deadline management.
•Articulate and innovative with a demonstrated ability to navigate through obstacles, work under pressure and successfully deliver to tight deadlines in a fast moving business environment.
•Numerically competent with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
•Ability to work flexibly when dealing with varying client requirements.
•Ability to work within a team environment and manage remote relationships effectively
•Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks according to their level of urgency and importance.
•Proactive, with the mind-set to challenge existing processes with suggestions of how processes can be improved
•Strong MS office skills.

DESIRABLE: 
•Familiarity with a wide range of Investment instruments and with asset management terminology.
•Knowledge of the investment management/asset servicing industry.
•Previous experience of Audits/ BCP exercises 
•Degree qualification
