DESCRIPTION

 

The Global Executive Search Team is responsible for identifying, attracting, and recruiting external passive professionals for key opportunities across the organization.  Under general supervision, the Analyst will collaborate and assist consultants in all aspects of the executive search process. The analyst will be responsible for attending intake meetings, documenting business needs, and gathering/presenting market intelligence to influence recruiting strategies. The analyst role is a highly visible role within the firm that provides the foundation necessary for an individual interested in a career in executive search.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Partner with recruiting consultants to proactively source passive candidates
• Communicate effectively with candidates, clients and team members
• Attend industry networking events to generate candidate leads and position Northern Trust as an employer of choice
• Become subject matter expert in the research process including knowledge of sources, industries/markets, organizational structures, and market competitors; Complete client research projects as directed
• Train team on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) best practices and new internet research techniques
• Populate and maintain internal contact management system
• Generate and produce “client ready” reports and metrics using Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
• Proactively identify process improvements and suggest enhancements to workflow in the area of reporting
• Initiate and conduct research on competitor companies, monitor performance of competitor stocks and keep team abreast of recent news and events in the financial services industry
• Maintain research library on internal SharePoint site to ensure current data is reflected
• Ensure team’s customer relationship management database is compliant with regulatory record retention requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Taleo/ATS and/or CRM systems including the ability to produce reports
• Understanding of the recruiting and/or executive search process preferred

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

 

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, including experience generating Excel macros, pivot tables and pivot charts, VLOOKUP’s and other intermediate formulas
• Can work effectively as a team member and independently, displays a sense of urgency and desire to learn 
• Excellent communication, presentation, research and analytical skills
• Strong consulting and client servicing skills
• Able to prioritize workload and achieve tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to details
• Demonstrate a deep understanding and strong interest in the financial services industry
• Ability to problem solve
• Marketing acumen
