Product Manager 

Product Manager Responsibilities:

Product Managers are the CEOs over their “Domains” or specific feature set within the overarching product.

Product Managers have primary ownership over leading their product scope to success.

Their responsibilities include:

Execute, Test, Deliver & Communicate on New Features & Enhancements:

• Foster a team community and build on team action items from retrospectives in meaningful ways

• Ensure story quality, timing, assignment and volume to manage and prioritize Sprint backlogs

o Decompose features for each MVP into high-level functional and non-functional stories

o Write complete user stories and acceptance criteria which meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and in a way that create best-in-class client- and partner-friendly omni-channel solutions

o Ensure backlogs are transparent, visible, and understood to all

o Host sprint backlog refinement sessions

o Prioritize stories within backlog with quant/qual data

o Provide sign off (acceptance) on each story during the sprint

o Lead Sprint Reviews with key stakeholders to secure buy-in, ensure timely follow-up and closure on feedback and action items

• Research and experiment with multi-variant testing to validate opportunities and solutions

• Coordinate and administer release and product marketing communications

• Monitor product health and continuously improve client satisfaction post-launch by tracking, reporting, and incorporating lessons learned from usage metrics and the realization of OKRs/KPIs

• Monitor product from a risk/regulatory perspective; collaborate with proper risk teams to resolve any financial, operational, technical or product risks uncovered Maintain & Manage Product Backlog:

• Manage and Prioritize Product Backlogs

• Track and vey new intake items and ideas gathered from partners, clients and prospects

• Work with broader team to ensure your backlog is appropriately groomed, tagged, and prioritized Strategic Advancement:

• Collaborate with other Product Owners/Managers and other stake holders (design, data, etc.) to uphold business priority and vision

• Conduct a variety of research to the formulate short-term and long-term roadmaps with Minimum Viable Products (MVP) based on client needs, feedback, competitive landscape, cost-benefit analysis, and business strategy

• Understand clientele, business strategy, and capabilities as well as how our technology suite does and should meet client and business needs Management of Timelines, Project Plans and Budget:

• Maintain long-term and short-term Project Plans in the spirit of “Plan the Work, Work the Plan”

• Lead annual and incremental planning sessions with your immediate team

• Optimize your Domain’s fixed budget and resources

• Communicate effectively with leadership with plan timelines, resources and/or budget are subject to change

• Understand competitive landscape and research industry trends, applying a “best in class” mindset to delivery Key Characteristics:

• Ability to manage a set of applications from end-to-end, planning and executing product priorities within time and budget constraints, manage and groom the product backlog, and set forward-looking strategic initiatives

• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency to deliver on commitments and priorities

• High level of attention to detail and thorough investigation of possible scenarios

• Project management and task tracking skills with an continued eye toward addressing inefficiencies

• Oral and written communication skills

• Highly proactive and inquisitive; a problem-solver

• Understanding of data-driven decision making and metric-based success outcomes

• Ability to build cross-functional collaborative relationships with clients, leadership, business partners, peers, business analysts, and delivery and development partners

• Experience with backend services, data flows, and platform architecture

• Ability to understand technical details and explain them to non-technical audiences

• Familiarity with Agile Best Practices

• Experience with product delivery software, preferably Azure Dev Ops (ADO)

• Ability to execute on both tactical and strategic direction

• Bachelor's degree required
