The Wealth Management Personal Banker role supports overseeing the daily work flow, ensuring procedures are adhered to and responding to clients and partner inquiries with in-depth knowledge of products and service.  
The Personal Banker monitors the delinquent, auto reject and exception accounts and researches any discrepancies, reporting results up to management. They prepare the monthly Management report at a national level and acts as the initial point of contact for complex client or partner inquiries in regards to processes and procedures.  
This individual provides security and privacy to clients by controlling access to the safe deposit vault. They serve clients and provide administrative support by opening and closing accounts, researching and responding to all inquiries. Performs Master Drill of Unclaimed Property, annual audit and safe deposit box maintenance.

Responsibilities include:
-Oversees daily work flow, monitors all activity and ensures timely and accurate completion of work
-Greets Clients, provide security and privacy by controlling access to the safe deposit vault; obtain proper identification and documentation to verify signature utilizing the signature retrieval system.
-Open and close accounts, research and resolve clients and partners inquiries and perform maintenance on all accounts. Must have knowledge of new account procedures and compliance requirements that must be completed in a timely manner.
-Monitors rental payments received and initiates follow up on delinquent, auto reject and exceptions accounts. Ensures that accounting entries are accurate and researches any discrepancies, reporting results to management .
-Acts as initial point of contact for complex client or partner inquiries in regards to processes and procedures and responds by providing the requested information or by referring the inquiry to the appropriate partner or area for resolution.
-Prepares the monthly Management report nationally.
-Communicate with clients and partners regarding products and services. Initiates client communication to add value to the relationship.
-Perform annual audit and master drills and prepare and secure unclaimed property under dual control.
-Responds to client and partner inquiries by providing the requested information with supporting documentation. Identified potential problem situation, improvement opportunities and recommend changes to processes where needed.
-You will execute and/or submit various administrative and operational activities related to clients, banking products and services. You will respond to client inquiries and information requests interacting with clients in person, via telephone and email. 
-Maintains a strong understanding of policies and procedures and addresses the requirements of each activity in a timely fashion and in strict adherence with Northern Trust and Wealth Management Risk Management and Compliance guidelines and procedures, promptly escalating any issues and/or concerns to management.
-Keeps abreast of new and existing bank products and services and of laws and regulations that affect compliance issues and services.

 

Qualifications 
-Knowledge of Safe Deposit and/or Banking is preferred.
-Organizational skills, problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency are preferred to ensure stated deadline are met.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills are required in order to effectively communicate with clients and partners.
-The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exhibiting initiative, time management, flexibility
-Able to transport safe deposit boxes weighing in excess of 75 pounds.
