The Network Security Engineer’s primary responsibilities will include research, design, implementation and support of key security technologies across the enterprise.


Utilizing in-depth technical knowledge to ensure the security operations team is able to function at peak efficiency using the tools we deploy.


A thorough understanding of network operation, system architecture and cyber security is desired. This knowledge will be critical as you will routinely coordinate with security analysts to address emerging threats and new direction in security operations.


The ideal candidate is seeking a challenging role in security engineering, has the core skills but is eager to learn and adapt to meet the needs of a dynamic organization.


Typically, applicants should have 5-7 years of cybersecurity or network engineering experience.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and apply professional knowledge of business needs and security risks to determine appropriate course of action.

• Develop and architect technical solutions to ensure appropriate security controls are applied throughout the network environment.

• Collaborate with different areas of IT in order to provide security and business technology solutions for the business.

• Documentation of security tools, standards, procedures and design documents.

Desired Skills and Experience


• 5+ years of experience in network design and support

• Ability to quickly diagnose a problem and come up with solutions or workarounds under pressure situations

• Knowledge with Cisco Firepower or IDS/IPS technologies

• Ability to understand project requirements, determine the technical feasibility and how best to accomplish a successful implementation

• Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced dynamic environment.

• Able to work effectively with remote team members and coordinate with multiple time zones to ensure successful change operations

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, packet formats and security vulnerabilities

• Soft people skills and the ability to work in a team environment is a must • General knowledge of Linux and shell operation a plus
