Responsible for managing a business unit financial analysis division, unit or function. Participates in developing the strategic plan and manages the unit¿s expenses. Provides financial/accounting support by managing and monitoring revenue and capital expense budgets. Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the division / unit / function. 1.Manages a business unit financial analysis division, function or unit. Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and develop needs, and establishes performance standards for the division/unit/function2.Analyzes revenues and expenditures, researches variances, compiles financial data, and provides financial report for the business unit3.Makes presentations of financial findings and recommendations to business unit senior management.4.Makes staffing decisions, manages expenses and salary review process for the division5.Participates in developing division strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met6.Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication7.Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise8.Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities9.Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues10.Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience in accounting and financial analysis with managerial experience is required. Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staffExcellent oral and written communication skills are requiredIn-dept accounting and financial analysis are requiredHighly flexible and adaptable to change
