Responsibilities:


This professional will join the Management Reporting, Planning & Analysis (MRP&A) team within the Finance Organization in a newly created position. The Team is responsible for producing, analysing and reporting of risk-based projections as part of Finance’s supervisory stress testing responsibilities. The Analyst will be responsible for key process documentation, control identification and gap remediation. The successful individual will be required to have strong interaction and working relationships with partners on the MRP&A team as well as the Corporate Controller’s Group and Audit Services.

 

Ideally, the prospective candidate will be an enthusiastic team member who will be able to execute and enhance various internal controls initiatives for the team. The candidate will need to be able to follow some documented procedures developed by Finance as well as detailed instruction from the manager. The candidate will need to have appropriate attention to detail and the analytical skills necessary to evaluate financial results and the processes performed to produce them.  

 

The role will report directly to a Manila manager, with dotted line reporting to Chicago. 


Principal Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess material risks within internal processes and the sources of potential error
  • Create/update desktop procedures, process narrative, flowchart and risk-control documentation for significant processes including appropriate consideration of key reports, control evidence and end-user computing
  • Facilitate, execute, and document controls performed, and resolve control gaps or exceptions
  • Participate in walkthrough-like meetings with process and control owners within the MRP&A team as well as the Corporate Controller’s Group and Audit Services
  • Contribute to corporate finance and business-as-usual initiatives as needed
  •  

Required Skills

  • Qualified Accountant, experience with a big 4 accountancy firm a plus

  • At least 2 years of relevant financial accounting or internal controls experience is required. 

  • Experience in financial services is a plus

  • Self-starter with an ability to self-motivate;

  • Strong planning and organisational skills;

  • Attention to detail and solid business technical writing skills;

  • Ability to adapt and react timely and positively in a changing and dynamic work environment;

  • Flexible approach towards changing work methods, deadlines and variable workloads;

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines;

  • Ability to develop relationships with diverse groups and various levels of financial and operating personnel;

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team where the accuracy and timeliness of data are critical;

  • Flexibility, multi-tasking, good business judgment skills are required.
