Responsibilities:
- Defines and manages multiple phases of major projects for a business area. Determines resource needs, recommends test strategies, and develops cost benefit analysis. Manages and implements projects. Oversees all project activities and provides status reports.
- Interacts with technology, product management, and operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables, or improve processes. Identifies impact of changes and processes on staff; facilitates acceptance of change through training and communication. Provides ongoing support for the solution.
- Reviews documents, existing procedures, and processes and recommends where automation or improved processes can be implemented. Designs/develops new procedures when appropriate.
- Prepares detailed system specifications for proposed automated processes and systems enhancements.
- Sets and maintains project schedules, monitors progress toward completion of project and adjusts schedule or tasks as needed.
- Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise.
- Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
- Specialized knowledge on projects, good consultative skills, strong analytical ability and ability to work effectively with clients, vendors and IT teams.
- Strong analytical skills are needed to analyze and evaluate technical information and coordinate projects. Requires strong communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of various application designs and programming techniques, usually acquired through related experience, is required to develop conceptual business models and system designs.
- Strong people and stakeholder communications, analytical and problem-solving skills are required to manage people, systems & implementing projects.
- Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set.
- Leadership skills to help lead and guide the project team through the stages of team development and track progress.
- Skills in using team-based tools such as brainstorming, organizing, decision making, project management, working effort, conflict resolution.
- Knowledge Bank: Working with team to layout knowledge sharing materials and manuals and arranging sessions for partners related to system or process changes.
- At least 12+ years of experience working in the Financial Service/Banking or Technology Industry with 4+ years of experience in driving/managing digital transformation with exposure and experience on emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated superior business process, project management experience. Demonstrated experience successfully in implementing change in complex organizations. PMP Certification is mandatory.
- Experience in managing a cross-discipline team and working in a highly matrix environment across many different businesses and IT leadership in an environment of competing interests.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of managing teams, implementing development and succession plans for all levels, and will display effective communication and coaching skills.
