Lead - Workday HCM

Northern Trust is looking for a Lead / Senior Consultant to join our HR technology team to be part of our fast-paced and results-oriented culture as we embark upon our journey to implement Workday.  The ideal candidate should have a proven track record implementing or administering Workday, with strong knowledge of Workday HCM HR module.  Payroll or time module expertise strongly preferred. Previous experience working with PeopleSoft and Service Now helpful.

Job Duties:

  • Partner with HR staff to understand their business needs and challenges, in order to elicit requirements, research and evaluate options and recommend solution options
  • Conduct impact analysis, estimate effort and prioritize HR technology deliverables
  • Implement, configure and support Workday and other HR technology solutions
  • Define and test internal and external integrations
  • Ability to understand and manage project scope
  • Responsible for creating and executing test and implementation plans
  • Provide delivery support and assistance for Workday and other HR applications
  • Assist in delivery of high-quality solutions across multiple HR functional areas

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years previous HRIS experience required
  • 3+ years previous Workday consulting or implementation experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Previous PeopleSoft and Service Now experience preferred
  • Advanced reporting and analytics experience helpful

 

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills needed to consult on solutions
  • Strong technical writing skills necessary to document and configure complex functional requirements
  • Advanced analytical skills needed to problem solve and troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with your team and HR clients
  • Have a curious personality and passion to learn new technology
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills required to be successful
