The primary objective of the National Lead Development Associate (LGA) role is to generate ‘New to Northern’ prospective client opportunities for client-facing partners in key markets across the United States.   

MAJOR DUTIES: 

1. Identify prospective Wealth Management clients within our targeted personas (Business Owners, Corporate Executives, Hedge Fund / Private Equity Professionals and other successful families as well not for profit entities and family offices) to contact in select markets across the United States. 
• Monitor business filings 
• Identify ‘money in motion’ 
• Cultivate Private Equity introductions 
2. Conduct outreach campaigns to drive prospective client introductions to Northern Trust professionals. 
• Leverage thought leadership and other marketing material. 
• Engage prospective clients via social media, email and telephone. 
• Utilize databases such as Salesforce and other technology such as Marketo to leverage outreach campaigns. 
3. Build and maintain relationships with client-facing partners across the United States 
• Coordinate efforts with national sales practice and regional management 
• Track metrics and report activity  
4. Cultivate long-term career development as a sales professional by: 
• Building knowledge of Northern Trust’s Wealth Management services. 
• Learning how to articulate Northern Trust’s value proposition with prospective clients. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required Highly flexible and adaptable to change Technical skills / systems knowledge is required 
EXPERIENCE: A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred.
