Infrastructure UNIX (Solaris/AIX/Linux) Operations Manager
Required:
- 8+ years prior technical work experience in a UNIX support operations environment
- Experience in building and / or supporting the following technologies: Red Hat Enterprise Linux /Oracle Solaris/IBM AIX, running on HP/HPe servers, other dedicated vendor hardware and VMware virtual containers.
- Experience in building and / or supporting one or more of the following technologies: Ansible, cfengine, and/or other automation tools
- Experience in writing and debugging shell scripts, for internal team processes. Knowledge of other scripting languages, such as Perl or Python, is a plus.
- Experience with using backup & restore software, such as TSM or Cohesity.
- Experience with configuring and debugging hosts to use SAN/NAS storage devices, such as Netapp/HDS.
- Experience with DNS and DHCP, including server configuration and debugging issues.
- Experience with job scheduling via cron. Knowledge of centralized job schedulers, such as Control-M, is a plus.
- Experience with system monitoring applications, such as Nagios, Pandora, OpenNMS, or other vended products.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, time management, verbal, and written skills and be detail-oriented
- Experience in leading / driving SWAT calls to speed resolution
- Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly and in support of changing priorities
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced organization
- Able to interact effectively and cooperatively with partners and consultants at all levels, as well as can engage, inspire, influence people
- ITSM process experience: Service-Now or similar ticket system
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable field with related course work in a technology, engineering, banking, government, or similar environment with regulations
- Previous management / leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and influence others while ensuring all targets are met, on schedule and within parameters
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
