Summary

 

The TA Head will be responsible for managing the Talent Acquisition function for India. He/she will work closely with stakeholders and HR leaders to understand the company objectives and construct plans and strategies to attract and hire top talent and diverse candidates across all levels of the organization. The TA Head will be expected to work in partnership with BU Heads to design and implement proactive recruitment strategies to meet the organizations total staffing requirement.

 

Building and managing a diverse and skilled talent team and overseeing aspects of the resourcing and recruitment teams will form part of the core responsibility. He/she will develop budgets for TA in India as well as plan and execute all recruiting projects/programs – global, regional and local.

 

Major duties

 

  • Develops the India TA strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit.  Follows through to ensure that objectives are met

  • Understanding workforce planning and resource forecasting by working with the resourcing team to feed into recruitment timelines. Designs and implements proactive recruiting strategies. 

  • Communicating with external sources, i.e. peer organizations to acknowledge any trends in recruitment and markets which could impact upon the business. Develops, directs, plans, and evaluates both internal and external recruitment programs to meet  NT’s total staffing requirements 

  • Anticipating the organizations future and working with senior executives to advise on recruiting tactics that will help to sustain the company’s success.

  • Responsible for the recruiting methodologies used to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business (advertising, on-line postings, internal/external job fairs, referrals, etc.).

  • Developing and retaining a diverse talent acquisition team. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication

  • Partnering with the broader talent acquisition team for shared use of tools and resources

  • Evaluates monitors and proactively enhances all aspects of the NT’s hiring policies, processes and practices.

  • Establishes metrics against which the performance of the unit or function can be measured. 

  • Proactively communicates hiring statistics and results to business managers. Consults on ways in which hiring performance can be improved.

  • Monitors processes and results to ensure compliance with recruiting policies, legal employment requirements and guidelines.

  • Directs recruiting project plans.

  • Ensures that the recruiting function or unit reflects market best practice.

  • Serves as an expert resource or ‘go to person’ for TA.

  • Act as recruiter for senior, high profile positions within the organization.



 


 Competencies and experience

  • 15-20 years of progressive experience leading full-cycle recruiting of technical and non-technical roles, across levels. Experience in technology and analytics hiring in the banking and financial services industry highly preferred.

  • Minimum five years experience leading the Talent Acquisition function; demonstrated ability to coach, empower, and develop talent.

  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the BU goals, resources needed and to assess and develop the skills of the staff.

  • Having commercial and analytical know-how is required, as is having strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Strong management skills, ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions

  • Excellent planning, project management and analytical skills.

  • Strong relationship, sales and communication skills and the ability to influence management at all levels within the organization.

  • Experience in managing and overseeing a talent acquisition team with evidence of leading recruitment programs is essential.

  • Analytical and capable of reading data and reports to assess complex information
