Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong people skills to navigate diverse perspectives and navigate multiple priorities

Creative and analytical thinker with deep knowledge of a specific product, function or client segment

Knowledge and working familiarity of the business and the key operational relationships that support it

Knowledge of current and contemporary technology architectures, platform paradigms and integration strategies

Hands-on experience working with data strategies such as warehousing, Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, or Business Intelligence solutions in a large complex financial service organization

Knowledge and practical experience with data visualizations, data dashboarding, data analytic scientists, reporting semantics, etc.

Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments

Requires strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff. 

Knowledge of multiple areas of data practices, regulations, industry organizations and trends including Operational Data, Warehousing, Reporting and Analytics, and Big Data.

 

Experience Required:

  • Seasoned leader in the technology and/or financial services industry, a Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • Solid data-modeling and information classification expertise
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Business Intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques
  • Excellent written and oral communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create effective marketing and messaging materials
  • Comfortable presenting to senior management
  • Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as to determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Innovative and strategic thinker who can assess rapidly changing technology and apply them to support and grow the business
