Responsible for managing multijurisdictional regulatory trade reporting system and trade reporting team with primary focus on FX products.   Role requires solid leadership and technical skills to establish a strong regulatory and control environment. 

 

·        Familiarity of regulatory trade reporting for FX products under CFTC, Mifid II, EMIR, MAS, ASIC and Canadian regulatory regimes. 

·        Works with partner teams to implement and set up complex processes.  Initially this will include a migration of the FX Trade Reporting Platform.  Display a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.

·        Acts as liaison to second line of defense in the support and management for interaction with internal and external regulators.

·        Oversee the implementation process for all new products or rule changes.

·        Oversees the preparation of policies, procedures, supporting analytics and controls to ensure regulatory compliance with applicable regulatory bodies and reporting requirements are met 

·        Advises business unit senior management on regulatory implications of proposed transactions. 

·        Works with Corporate Global Compliance and Capital Markets Middle Office to align on priorities.

·        Works with industry groups and potentially regulators to influence future regulatory developments and interpretations

·        Provide long-term vision for group ensuring review and controls are efficient and effective

·        Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise, recognized throughout the organization as the point of contact for the domains covered 

·        Leads training of trade reporting team members.

·        Identifies relevant training that addresses areas in which the staff has developmental needs, as well as training that will facilitate the staff’s need to stay abreast of new regulatory reporting requirements

·        Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands-on training to staff

·        Provides input and support to budget management process 


Qualifications

·        A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred

·        7-10 years of experience at financial services firm with experience in capital markets, including FX as a component

·        2-3 years of prior team management experience

·        Experience working in  global team environment

·        Ability to interpret regulations and be able to apply to work streams

·        Proficient technical skills and experience interacting closely with technology teams including defining business requirements for development

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

·        Highly flexible and adaptable to change

·        Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.
