• Lead relationship development officer responsible for identifying new prospective clients for Northern Trust's Global Family Office practice by developing and cultivating an extensive advisor, client and other referral source networks.

• Target market: families and individuals with liquid assets >$200MM and/or families with single family offices, private trust companies and private investment offices.

• Experienced in positioning/delivering a range of institutional and private client solutions to UHNW families, family offices and other intermediaries.

• Solutions include investment advisory (OCIO), global asset management, financial record-keeping and reporting, trust and fiduciary solutions, private and commercial banking, along with a range of advisory solutions such as family education, financial planning, family office consulting and philanthropic advisory solutions.

• Oversee client development process from beginning to end including client identification, needs assessment, solution positioning, pricing/contracting and relationship transition.

• Work closely with Northern Trust's extensive Wealth Management, Asset Management and Institutional office network, along with key members of Northern Trust’s Executive Management and Operating Group teams.

• Primary market responsibility – United States – Central Region. • Report directly to practice area's Global Head of Sales (Chicago based) with dedicated regional sales support.

 

8+ years of proven business development and/or related relationship management experience. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations that apply to personal fiduciary, and estate and tax planning services acquired through formal education and work experience is required to consult with clients. Analytical and sales skills are required to relate individual customer asset situations to specific products. Interactive skills are required to comprehend prospect needs and respond with the appropriate solutions.
