General Support of the Regional Chief Fiduciary Officer: Support of Regional CFO and Central Region Trust Practice through a variety of regular responsibilities, tasks and special projects to include: 
The key responsibilities of the role include:

1.  General Support of the Regional Chief Fiduciary Officer Function 
  • Risk Related Matters - Work closely with Regional CFO on all risk related matters including general and specific client and account trouble shooting matters.  This may include Documentation Exception Requests, Trust Certification issues, 6.01 Conflict of Interest Reviews etc.;
  • Fiduciary Related Matters - Work closely with Regional CFO on all fiduciary related matters including proposed fiduciary appointments, directed trust reviews, decanting reviews, complex discretionary requests, etc. and drafting proposed responses for Regional CFO Review;
2.  Support of CR Fiduciary Committee Structures and CR Advisory Meetings -  Work closely with Regional CFO to provide oversight and coordination of all Central Region fiduciary related committees and meetings including CR  Fiduciary Committee, CR Trust Acceptance Committee, CR Discretionary Action Committee, CR Senior Fiduciary Officer and Trust Team Leader Meetings; CR Trust Advisor Meetings.

3.  General Consultant on Operational, Service, and Administration Issues and Initiatives - Within the constraints of the current service and operational structure, review processes affecting administration for areas of improvement or risk mitigation (for example: client onboarding, cash movement, distribution, statements, fees, Partner Workstation utilization).

4. Special Projects as Assigned – Take responsibility for ad hoc assignments to support business unit needs, including, for example, coordinating GST process reviews, assisting in DOL compliance review, ad hoc committees on emerging compliance issues; and special assignments as requested. 

5.  Tracking and Monitoring - Overall monitoring, tracking and follow up of all items noted above with particular focus on 1) all requests made to the regional CFO and 2) all administrative exception items as reported to the business units.


The successful candidate will benefit from having:
  • Overall depth of experience in trust administration and compliance related issues and sensitivities including:
  • A College or University degree with a minimum of  four years’ experience in the financial services industry with a focus on trust and fiduciary related matters; 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills ;
  • Ability to analyze, problem solve, and  multi-task, with strong organization skills and the ability to be highly flexible and adaptable to change;
  • Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Northern Trust’s  key operating systems and Excel capabilities;
