Overview: Hedge Fund Services’ (HFS) Learning & Development team is responsible for facilitating business-specific and on-the-job training as well as connecting partners with personal and career development resources. Our model includes instructor-led courses, SME-driven knowledge sharing and vendor-supported product, application, EQ and management skill development. We support a business of 700 employees in the alternative investment industry focused on fund administration and proprietary financial technology. 


HFS Learning & Development is seeking a candidate to support our growing business in building talent for today’s needs as well as the future. This role will provide L&D services to our North America based employees of all tenure and experience ranging from accounting to investment operations to technical skill sets. Role responsibility is split between instructor-led training each month, program and course design, and managing administrative program functions as outlined below. 


The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation skills, the ability to connect with partners of all tenures and consult with junior and senior managers as well as be able to manage multiple projects independently.  Successful candidates will be comfortable and competent serving in a high visibility role that impacts both business operations and employee engagement. 

Role Summary: Under general direction, the HFS L&D Consultant defines learning and development objectives that support the articulated business objectives. This role requires design, development and delivery of learning and development solutions as well as ongoing analysis for program improvement. To achieve quality programming this role must also undertake appropriate operational and administrative aspects of program management.

Major Duties: 
1.    Designs, develops and facilitates/delivers learning and development programs. 
2.    Works with management and subject matter experts to understand desired business objectives and translate them into learning and development solutions. 
3.    Develops project plans including the identification of subject matter experts where appropriate.
4.    Collaborates with peers across NT businesses to determine appropriate learning methodologies, tools and applications and other resources to meet business needs
5.    Evaluates training and development programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements. 

Primary Responsibilities:
1.    Facilitation/Instruction – Serve as one of two facilitators for all instructor-led courses designed by HFS Learning & Development including coordination, scheduling and production of course offering
2.    Marketing – Communicate and socialize available training for manager, leadership, and learner awareness; promote registration and engagement
3.    Course coordination and partner registration – Utilize NT learning management system to create courses and sessions, register and track training participants/attendance, manage waitlists
4.    Reporting and Analytics – Utilize Learning Management System to create and publish periodic metrics on course interest, registration, and attendance
5.    SharePoint Repository Owner – Liaise with HFS Learning & Development colleagues and Shared Service managers to maintain document repository of all training materials
6.    Document Maintenance & Rebranding - Coordinate training document maintenance review; graphic rebranding project; manage printing services
 

Knowledge / Skills: 
•    Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Able to work both independently and in concert with L&D team priorities, facilitate discussions and reach decisions 
•    Capable of driving meetings with subject matter experts, managers, and learners alike
•    Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation communication skills 
•    Strong facilitation skills, experience with instructional design and willingness to learn independently
•    Strong attention to detail especially around grammar, spelling, visual design
•    Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, WebEx platform, Adobe Creative Suite, learning management systems

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years training facilitation, instructional design and/or related program management background preferred. Otherwise, minimum 3 years alternative investments industry experience required.
