The Transfer Agency department provides a third party fund administration service to numerous fund management companies covering the full range of shareholder servicing functions including dealing, registration, settlements, distributions, commissions and statements. The department is responsible for client and investor document management, processing and quality checking of transactions and updating the registers of clients’ funds in response to investor instructions. 
The primary responsibility of this Consultant role is to support a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts within the Partnership Services team. The Consultant reports to the Team Manager and assists with team projects and initiatives in an effort to maximize the utilization of the team. This includes working with various partner areas to improve and implement operational process improvements to benefit the department as well as our clients. 

The key responsibilities of the role include: 
1. Work with BPAs, CSMs, Partnership Services, Partnership Accounting, Management and other partner areas to identify and address process inefficiencies, control gaps, and enhance client deliverables.
2. Review current processes and address inefficiencies and control gaps.  Work with team, Partnership Accounting and BPAs to identify, design and present enhancements/improvements
3. Review client specific procedures and implement standardization if potential exists; work with CSMs to address client needs and develop solutions
4. Research and be proactive in finding solutions that can replace manual processing
5. Participates or lead efforts that impact a functional process, task or deliverable within a BAU team or across teams, may have a technology component (WCM automation, File Cabinet/FTP, etc)
6. Effective communication with the client, CSM, various internal departments, and others as required
7. Assist team with investigating and resolving escalated inquiries and exceptions  
8. Create and enhance procedures for the team
9. Assist in training initiatives for the team
10. Ensure all procedures are kept up to date and are adhered to on a daily basis 
11. Assist the Team Manager in establishing and meeting goals and objectives for the team 
12. Generate process and system enhancement ideas and coordinate the introduction of these changes with supporting documented procedures
13. May assist with team oversight
Qualifications
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
 
A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience is required 
Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
Expert knowledge of team processes, clients, investor types and systems (HedgeTek, WCM, GCM, AG, etc). 
Able to research and resolve issues independently and assist with escalated client issues and client responses.  
Able to work effectively with BPAs, CSMs, Partnership Services, Partnership Accounting and other partner areas to identify and address process inefficiencies, control gaps, and enhance client deliverables to meet client needs.  
Ability to lead team projects and create and enhance procedures for the team.   
Ability to perform independently with limited supervision, guides peers, consults with clients, assists in solving complex issues for clients and team
Ability to set priorities and manage dead
