Summary:


The India Entitlements Team is responsible for the recording, processing and collecting of dividends and interest due on assets held in client accounts as well as the reclaims on tax withheld on dividends and interest in markets where tax reclaim benefits are available to clients. 

 

The Control Team is an integral part of this business unit and its primary focus is to ensure internal and external controls in North America, EMEA and Bangalore are met and continuously improved.  We have locations in Chicago, London, Limerick, and Bangalore.


Primary Goals:

Professional with strong business experience, multi-disciplinary functional experience and maintains a laser-focus on activities within the operations group. Able and willing to work with both direct and indirect staff in an environment that encourages partner participation, teamwork, and communication.  Tests controls and measures to identify excessive operational risk and/or control problems at an early stage and works with staff to maintain quality and efficiency standards.

 

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

• Actively engage and execute quarterly testing of the Operations group to assess the current processes, controls and exposure to risk;
• Oversee and coordinate all audit (Internal / External, SOC1, SOX, GS007 and etc.) reviews.  This audit liaison role is critical and must follow the global model within the Control team to ensure all communication between any audit team and the BU must come through Control to ensure all information received and provided is appropriate;  
• Provide risk management (Operational, Compliance, and Strategic) oversight and guidance to management and staff;
• Creation and reporting of metrics that acts as forward looking "smoke alarm" warnings and backward looking trend analysis type measures across the group.
• Consult business during control failures, incidents etc. and support review of process health
• Participate and drive control awareness programs in security services
• Drive cross divisions projects, focusing on risk and control adequacy
• Support compliance and policy requirements for operations
• Assess and review migration and process changes to mitigate any risk.


Skills & Experience:

• A self-starter that can pick up tasks with minimal supervision and has the confidence to review and provide potential solutions prior to reaching out to Management.
• Understanding and ability to work and thrive in a team both regionally as well as globally.  Must be cognizant of the ever-present team concept, team approach & practice.  
• Articulate and innovative with a demonstrated ability to navigate through obstacles, work under pressure and successfully deliver to tight deadlines in a fast moving business environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, and Excel skills, must be confident with handling and manipulating large volumes of data.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and (oral and written) communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work independently.  
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate and communicate subject matter.
• Knowledge of capital markets and financial products would be an added advantage


The position will allow opportunity to;

• Know fundamentals of controls, sample testing, quality assurance program etc.
• Learn development and maintenance of Risk and Control scorecard, KPI & KRI metrics etc.
• Learn migration and change governance
• Polish stakeholder management with an opportunity to work with management, managers and partners alike

IT Proficiencies: 
• Microsoft:  Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Visio, Project Professional.
• Internal Applications:  IMS, Fundmaster, TLM, ELM, and Control View. 

Experience


 24 Months as a Technical Coordinator /Associate Consultant to move as a Team Leader /Consultant


 Movement within TL and Consultant Level will be 12 months
