The key responsibilities of the role include:

 

Responsible for record keeping relationships for Corporate and Institutional Services Clients. Serves as the primary contact for record keeper and internal partner areas in overseeing daily participant activity. Communicates regularly with record keepers and internal partners ensuring that service needs and expectations are being met.

 

Utilizes knowledge of Northern Trust processes, record keeping processes and fund valuations to provide guidance on complex issues and to serve as a technical resource for Client Servicing and Record keeping Relationship Analysts. Leads record keeping events/client process changes by coordinating record keeping and Trust activities.

 

  1. Coordinates daily recordkeeping relationships as assigned.
  2. Oversees daily participant activity. Works with partner areas to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  3. Reviews company stock liquidity trades for clients and acts as reviewer of liquidity calculations and transactions initiated by Recordkeeping Relationship Analysts.
  4. Receives inquiries from recordkeeper and partners, oversees transaction processing (including stock liquidity processing), handles inquiry resolution, obtains appropriate documentation and ensures accurate and timely follow-up with recordkeepers and partners.
  5. Researches and resolves complex exceptions and coordinates corrective entries and preventative processes.
  6. Communicates daily, or as needed, with recordkeeper and partner areas, especially client service teams regarding client account activity.
  7. Identifies service efficiency enhancements, process and service delivery improvements using creative and proactive measures.
  8. Works with recordkeeper and partner areas on client structural changes, including maintaining action plans related to client changes.
  9. Initiate periodic meetings with recordkeeper to review service levels and other ongoing service initiatives. Prepares call reports, as necessary, and communicates to service team.
  10. Coordinates process initiatives/communication with Client Servicing and Compliance.
  11. Acts in a leadership role and as a technical resource or subject matter expert for Client Servicing and Recordkeeping Relationship Analysts.

 

The successful candidate will benefit from having:


4 or more years experience with master trust/ custody products, daily valuation operations or direct record keeping services with an emphasis on 401(k)/defined contribution plans.


Client service experience/exposure necessary.


Knowledge of record keeping processes, acquired through related experience, related to 401(k)/defined contribution plans including fund valuations, unitization and investments. General business knowledge, including knowledge of accounting and client servicing usually acquired through coursework and on the job training, is required to oversee client transactions. Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, required to identify and resolve account issues.
