The key responsibilities of the role include: 

Custody Transition & Account Services (CTAS) is a central support group for both Wealth Management and C&IS client servicing teams with the capability to deliver an array of processing efficiencies, ensuring best practice and a consistent client experience.  The group is responsible for delivering middle office services such as; Documentation support, Account Opening & Closing, Coding, Online and Statement setup, Asset Funding & Distributions, Gifting, Implementation/Rebalance of Investment Solution Products and Alternative Asset Support, Fee Setup, and other Ancillary services, facilitating communication and simplifying information flow between/among partners.  

The Consultant is the preferred point of contact for the coordination, investigation and consultation for Plan of Divisions (POD) for Wealth Management clients, distribution events and other account closing services.  The individual will serve as a contact for the National Central Servicing Support (NCSS) who possesses a broad understanding of the critical operational areas to proactively address situations to ensure a positive client experience.  Strong client servicing and communications skills are necessary in order to influence and guide the front line partners through a successful client event.

Serves as central point of contact for operational matters related to Plan of Divisions, distribution events and other account closing services.

Establish a strong working relationship with client servicing and other internal partner groups to ensure a positive experience for our clients.

Serves as an additional resource to investigate and coordinate issue resolution on behalf of client servicing and CTAS.

Provides oversight support on an event and engages with CTAS and other pertinent operational areas as an escalation point to ensure issues are addressed and any known risks are mitigated.

Partners with other Transition Consultants to provide in-depth support of business unit / function.

Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult.

Role is balanced between operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.

Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

As needed, maintain and provide productivity stats to management. 


The successful candidate will benefit from having: 

College/University degree or global trust and custody services, new client onboarding and transition events or other related client servicing experience is required for consideration.  The role will support the operating structure of Wealth Management (PCA, WA & Estate Settlements) so familiarity with the business unit, client account structure and legal documents for Wealth Management accounts are required.  

The applicant must demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of Wealth Management’s Trust and Custody services, Legal Agreement/Entity types, and Account Closing including PODs and asset transfer; usually acquired through formal training or prior experience.  Strong communication (verbal and written), attention to detail (accuracy), ability to multi-task and prioritize work, time management and organization skills.  Analytical skills are also required to review and resolve exceptions.  General knowledge of WM’s legal documentation to close accounts and other operational processes is preferred.  Proficient in Trust Servicing, Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Lotus Notes (PFS Account Distribution Database), MicroPOD, SharePoint and other enterprise applications are strongly preferred.
