Provide a broad level of internal communications support to the corporation. Assist the Director of Corporate Internal Communications in planning, creating, coordinating and implementing internal communications for various corporate communications, projects and initiatives.

 

 

Major Duties

 

1. Proactively create and publish news articles for internal distribution.

 

 

2. Interview and meet with employees at all levels of the organization to gather information for internal communications.

 

 

3. Consult with other communicators throughout the organization to collaborate on internal story development.

 

 

4. Review and provide feedback on internal news articles submitted for publication by other business areas to ensure accuracy and compliance with the company’s strategic objectives.

 

 

5. Develop and/or support the creation of written communications for senior executives.

 

 

6. Help plan, develop, implement and measure internal communication strategies for the corporation.

 

 

7. Coordinate multiple communications projects simultaneously, providing strategic oversight and messaging.

 

 

8. Participate in corporate committees and communication activities when appropriate, such as crisis communications.

 

 

9. Manage special projects as appropriate or needed.

 

 

10. Align with corporate standards and best practices in all communication efforts. 

 

11. Ensure consistency of messages and brand through all communications globally.

3 - 5 years of experience; English, Communications or Journalism degree preferred.

 
Knowledge of internal communications or journalism usually acquired through a formal degree program or related experience.

 

Exceptional writing, editing and proofing capabilities.

 

Understanding internal communications process or journalistic process and Associated Press writing style.

 

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, SharePoint.

 

 

Strong verbal communications skills; organizational and project management skills; ability to work effectively with management and staff at all levels; and provide exceptional service to stakeholders.

 

 

Proactive approach to accomplishing tasks and learning about new and innovative trends in internal communications.

Working knowledge of digital communication vehicles and audience interaction tools such as Exact Target/PoliteMail, Slido, X2O Media, Office 365—Yammer/Teams, Survey Gizmo/Survey Monkey, a plus.
