Client Service Manager

 

Role:

As Client Services Manager you will be a key member of the Guernsey Client Servicing team providing leadership, technical, and client servicing for the Guernsey contracted Custody and Banking client relationships.

 

The job holder will make a major contribution to service delivery, with primary responsibility for a cross section of clients; networking will be a pivotal skill set and paramount to the development of good working relationships with both internal partners and external clients.

 

Periodic involvement with other cross jurisdictional work is also possible at a management and SME level. The job holder will have an agreed responsibility for ensuring service levels are maintained at high levels


Principal Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for and lead new business onboarding / change management projects within the team with little to no guidance.
• To support and provide MI reporting to the relevant governance forums.
• Co-ordinate, undertake and report upon onsite due diligence and client reviews – overnight travel may be required.
• Deputise for the Head of Department when necessary.
• Act as a point of escalation within the business.
• Undertake A Signatory responsibilities across the business.
• To work with the Guernsey Head and EMEA Product Development to ensure that all client technical advisory requirements are anticipated, responded to and validated. 
• To ensure that all SLD requirements are monitored and met.
• To keep up to date with internal developments and Market developments in the Regulatory field.
• Act as staff manager for all direct reports.
• Carry out performance reviews in accordance with NT Policy for direct reports.
• Encourage and support a professional attitude amongst all direct reports.
• To ensure all servicing requirements are met and escalate any issues where appropriate.
• To monitor and report on the effectiveness of outsourced services
• To build a mutual trust with client and identify threats and opportunities and escalate as appropriate.
• To keep all operational procedures in line with expected risk requirements.
• To be a team player and strong leader within the business.

Experience:

• strong track record and a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in the financial services, preferably fund servicing or custody sector.
• preferably Higher Degree (MBO+) education in accounting, economics or finance
• minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as member of a Client Services team
• strong experience of client servicing, client engagement with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
• excellent interpersonal skills and analytical approach 
• experience of dealing confidently with Clients
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and tenacity.
