The key responsibilities of the role include:


Work as part of a team handling the processing of US physical securities.  Primary responsibilities include deposits, withdrawals, transfers, corporate actions, and trade settlement.  


Ancillary functions include contacting transfer agencies to verify validity/transfer requirements of securities, exception resolution, and other related physicals related processing.  


Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will benefit from having: 


Two or more years of securities operations experience.  High School Diploma or GED required - College degree a plus.

 

Experience and understanding of physical and securities processing and vault custodial functions and services.  In-depth knowledge of DTCCs physical processing functions.  Possess knowledge of permanent and Non-Negotiable Safekeeping processing with DTCC.  Knowledge of Restricted Securities Processing and all relevant documents and required paperwork required for legend removal.

 

Demonstrated skills with safekeeping on securities, reconciliation, client servicing, and product categories (i.e. stocks, bonds, preferred, restricted securities).

 

Ability to effectively perform in a multi-task environment and to ensure critical deadlines is met.

 

Proven analytical, organizational, detail-oriented, and problem solving skills required.

 

Ability to express ideas clearly, demonstrating the capacity to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

 

Ability to work independently without supervision.  Accountability for individual assignments.

 

Ability to work effectively in a team environment, exhibiting leadership, initiative and flexibility.

 

Proven skills in critical thinking and active learning to identify issues and establish new solutions, and drive performance with process improvements.

 

Proficiency with MS Office products.
