Responsibilities:


Investment Compliance Analyst is responsible for processing simple and complex transactions within set procedures and guidelines prescribed. Under general supervision, works with various investment compliance systems and manages the data elements required for various deliverables. Works with other Operations Groups to ensure all exceptions are monitored and corrected within an agreed timeframe. The principle responsibilities of the Analyst may include, but may not be limited to, the following

  • Under general supervision, works with various investment compliance systems and manages the data elements required for various deliverables. 

  • Day-to-day responsibilities also include reviewing all triggered messages, investigating the output and notifying client services of any violations.  

  • Identify research and escalate potential compliance violations. Work with senior analysts and management to resolve issues and follows up with trading, portfolio management, senior management and others where appropriate.

  • Testing rules and Preparing Proof Package for new mandates as well as IMA amendments.

  • Collation of evidence, supporting documentation to validate trigger message breach findings

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with various investment styles, asset classes, strategies for achieving performance goals, benchmarks and investment related terminology. Familiarity with investment manager guidelines and language used in documentation. 
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel and investment systems are required to analyze data and generate client reports.  
  • 1-3 Years relevant work experience is a plus. 
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy
  • Genuine willingness to learn  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and high level interpersonal skills  
  • Sound time management capability, the ability to multitask and prioritise workload 
  • Strong sense of integrity and respect for confidentiality  
  • A ‘self-starter’ that displays initiative and works to exceed expectations
  • A methodical, analytical approach to problem solving  
  • Displays a continuous improvement focus and best practice attitude  
  • Adaptable to a busy and constantly evolving environment  
  • Preparedness to undertake a range of tasks as demanded by business needs - A mature and calm demeanor, which is maintained when under pressure
  • Ability to follow issues through to completion  
  • Results focused - particularly with regard to organisational Investment compliance obligations.
