Investment Risk and Analytical Services (IRAS) provides performance measurement and investment analysis across multiple client segments: Corporate ERISA, Public Funds, Foundations and Endowments, Wealth Management, Global Family Office and Sovereign Wealth Funds. IRAS utilizes a suite of proprietary reporting applications to deliver a broad range of investment analysis from rates of return and asset allocation reporting to benchmark comparisons and attribution analysis.  This analysis supports the evaluation, measurement and decision making process of key constituents. The IRAS Index Team migrates, monitors and maintains index data required by the proprietary reporting applications to perform various types of financial analysis.

 

Job Description: 

 

Migrates, monitors and maintains index data used in various internal financial reporting applications. Works with vendors/index providers to obtain standard and custom index data which is used by IRAS clients to perform performance, risk, and compliance analysis. Works on various projects to enhance the index migration process and overall operational efficiency/automation.


Major Duties: 


1. Migrates, monitors and maintains index data used in various internal financial reporting applications.

2.
Investigates and answers inquiries/issues regarding index data and the internal application in which it’s being utilized in.

3.
Communicates on a daily basis with large number of internal partners as well as external vendors.


4. Works on enhancing the index migration process and overall operational efficiency. 


5. Prepares written documentation on various types of index information to be used by both the Index Team and other internal groups.


6. Maintains a thorough knowledge and awareness of legal requirements, the regulatory environment, legislative changes, and marketing trends in the institutional trust industry to determine the direction for new products or enhancements to existing products.

7. Works closely with systems team to assess processing capabilities of changes on existing systems to determine the measures required for development and implementation.

8. Consults with sales and client servicing team on specific product lines and new business developments.

 


Qualifications: 


Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field.

 

1-3 years related work experience in financial industry (operations or systems related preferred).

 

Understanding of the flow/storage process of data and how to operate database management programs such as Oracle SQL and Microsoft Excel.

 

Knowledge of interfacing systems and operations needed to assess and plan for data processing requirements.

 

Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately analyze large sets of data.

 

Excellent communication skills required for working with internal partners as well as external vendors.
