PMO Analyst

Summary 

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for helping manage a portfolio of projects on behalf of the Project Management Office. The Project Management Office (PMO) helps manage and prioritize a portfolio of key initiatives on behalf of stakeholders resulting in monitoring projects or programs against larger capital targets, and managing the demand & supply for project resource requests resulting in reallocating or deploying more resources.  This role produces necessary MIS and financial reporting required to support project portfolios.


Major Duties

The successful PMO Analyst will be responsible for the reporting, monitoring, governance, control, resource management and tracking/logging on the programmes of work. Particular focus of this role will be on financials.

The day to day responsibilities will include:

•Production and analysis of Portfolio Management Information, including financials

•Project capital management across C&IS group and production of capital reports

•Expense management at Business Unit level and production of expense reports

•Ensure all Programme and Project reporting accurately reflects the current status

•Creation of MIS for portfolio management purposes

•Strong stakeholder management; managing relationships from board level stakeholders to project managers 

•Coach and support Project Managers on Project Governance processes as and when required.

•Act as central point of contact for the PMO to assist with questions originating from the project community or business and will include project status, etc.

•Ad hoc administrative tasks as required

Knowledge/ Skills 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and presentation, at all levels; excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Able to manage self, multi-task and manage the delivery of competing priorities at the same time
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Financial background
  • Ability to work across multiple teams
  • Understanding of project lifecycle
  • Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Very strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint an advantage
Experience 

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
