Summary

In the role of an Tax Accountant, the candidate will be directly responsible for managing the overall Compliance function of Bangalore and Pune location with specific applicability of law in both the states. It is expected that candidate has sound knowledge on Income Tax Act, Goods & Service Tax, Central Excise and Customs with specific applicability to STPI and SEZ units, Compliance requirement under Provident Fund, Professional tax applicability and working knowledge of Companies Act 2013, in the day to day compliance activities. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager to ensure that statutory compliance is adhered to as per the schedule prescribed by the Corporation.  Work with external consultants and vendors related to compliance matters. 

Major Duties 

Candidate is expected to have sound knowledge on withholding tax applicability and Goods and Service Tax (GST). Should be able to reconcile the monthly withholding deduction and coordinate with AP team for accurate accounting and payment. Should be able to file quarterly withholding tax returns. Computer monthly service tax liability under reverse charge mechanism.

Should independently visit various government office for submissions of our cases based notices and returns and represent company.

Proper follow up with external vendors and consultants to ensure all compliance matters are adhered to keep the tax manager in loop. 

Accounting for monthly tax provision under USGAAP and Indian GAAP.

Preparation of form 3CD and Transfer Pricing reporting requirements based on closure of annual audit.

In depth review of statutory compliance related to General ledger and maintains reconciliation as required by Financial Accounting team.

Ensure timely payment of statutory dues through by working with HR and Financial accounting team.

To update relevant written desk procedure / control manual for GL codes forming part of statutory compliance if there are any changes.


Most importantly to 

        o Inform the management of any weakness in the internal control process, be it in the approval or compliance with various policies of the company.
        o Actively participate in the team meeting. 
        o Ensure that deadlines are met without any compromise.
        o Complete all of internal 

Education Chartered Accountant/Cost works Accountant 3-4 years of experience. 

 
Sustainable performance demonstrated through examples/evidence, the above listed core skills and competencies in the current role over a period of at least 24 months 

Desirable qualification
a) Knowledge of any of the ERP system
b) Good presentation skill
c) Proficient in usage of MS Office applications. 
d) Experience in any of the multinational companies.
